The Bachelor of Arts in Political Science is a professional qualification. It covers the entire field of political science. Students are imparted sound theoretical and methodological knowledge as well as (not only) subject-specific problem-solving skills.

As part of a six-semester course of study, you will be given in-depth knowledge of:
- comparative political systems, in particular Germany and the European Union, and sectoral state activities,
- international relations in general and Germany and the European Union in particular, and
- theories and methods of the subject political science.

In a project seminar, the teaching research project, you will test your skills and knowledge. You work in a student group and are accompanied by experienced scientists on a research project of your choice. This extends over two semesters and is part of the examination module. You also have the opportunity to deepen one of the areas of political science as part of the elective module.

In addition, you acquire so-called interdisciplinary qualifications, which you can focus on: internships, language courses, IT courses. These are just three of numerous offers.

During your studies you take advantage of an attractive place to study. This includes short distances, a well-stocked specialist library and close contact with the teachers. But also a recognized quality (according to CHE), outstanding partnerships all over the world, the networking of theory and practice in national and international political organizations. And last but not least, numerous contacts in practice with a variety of internship opportunities, excursions and research projects.

After your studies, you have a wide range of fields of activity: in international organizations, parties, associations, trade unions, consulting and market research, media and journalism, political education or business enterprises. And last but not least in science and research.
