This course helps you to start your degree at DMU with the International Year Zero (IYZ). You will take an extra year of study at DMUIC in order to complete your degree at DMU. Students who take the IYZ will continue to the first year of study of their chosen International Incorporated Bachelor's degree programme at DMU.

Pharmacy is the first step to your career in the health services. There is huge demand for pharmacists all around the world and DMU’s Pharmacy degree has an exceptionally high employment rate. More than 96 per cent of DMU graduates are in work or full-time education within six months of graduating.

Qualified pharmacists have a wide variety of exciting and challenging career choices in the industry – for example, they can work alongside family doctors, in busy hospitals or pursue medicines research. DMU has invested millions in facilities so you will have access to the very latest laboratory equipment. Our Pharmacy school is home to world-leading academics who are conducting life-changing research.

On this course you will:

• Have access to DMU’s state of the art laboratories which includes a real-life Pharmacy centre
• Learn how medicines work in the human body
• Discover how medicines are made and tested
• Gain a basic understanding of chemical processes in the laboratory
