The Bachelor of Psychological Science degree programs are offered co-jointly by Department of Psychology at HELP University (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) and the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work at Flinders University, and are delivered entirely in Malaysia. The program has been accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) whereby graduates will obtain a degree that is recognised in Australia, Accordingly, suitably qualified graduates of the BPsychSc (Hons) will be able to apply for entry to a variety of postgraduate degrees in Australia such as Masters and Doctoral programmes in clinical psychology. The aims of the Honours course in psychology are to build on earlier training to provide a broad base in contemporary psychological theory and research, to bring diverse psychology subject areas together by pointing to shared themes, issues, problems and techniques, and to enhance students' understanding of methodological and data analysis issues. It aims to better acquaint students with the process of research, to show how Psychology can contribute to understanding and solving real-world problems, and to promote critical or evaluative thinking (e.g., about theory, methods, applications).
