Interested in learning about microbiology, chemistry and physics? As a biology major, you’ll work hands-on in laboratory experiments and have the opportunity to engage in faculty-mentored research projects. From genetics to ecology, all the biology major classes are designed specifically to help pre-med students understand how other fields such as chemistry, physics and math apply to biology and pre-med.

Enroll in the B.S. in biology program and learn from scientists and other experts in biology, and gain broad backgrounds in science and math. These studies will give you a strong foundation for the medical field. Biology careers range from allopathy and occupational therapy to environmental science.

Biology and pre-med information

As a biology major, you'll take core classes in career preparation, belief and reason, and social justice while learning the biological world. Focus your studies on ecology, evolution and microbiology, or dive deeper into the world of criminalistics with the forensic science concentration.
