The Bachelor of Science degree at MacEwan University can also be a direct route to a professional program, with its pre-professional streams leading towards degrees in dental hygiene, dentistry, medical laboratory science, medicine, optometry, pharmacy and veterinary medicine.

Computer Science

At MacEwan University, there are two streams of study in computer science. The general computer science major is flexible. It allows you to create a focus that reflects your interests and prepares you for a range of careers. The software professional concentration provides you with the best preparation you can have for a career in software development.

Computer Science students study the nature and techniques of problem solving through computation. Understanding computation requires knowledge of hardware, software, mathematics and logic. Include the essentials such as psychology, philosophy, linguistics and management theories–computer science connects technology with people.
