Prepare yourself for a career in finance, business or law by combining an in-depth understanding of commerce with advanced legal knowledge and highly transferable skills.

This program combines training in conducting research relevant to business or finance with high-level instruction in the law, and helps you develop extensive personal and professional skills.

In your commerce studies, you'll examine the fundamental principles of commerce and learn how you can apply and adapt them in response to specific challenges faced by businesses. You'll build specialised knowledge and skills through a major of your choice.

Your law courses will take place in seminar-style learning spaces, specifically refurbished for law students. You'll have the opportunity to test your knowledge with your peers and teachers in an active learning environment.

You'll graduate with advanced legal and commerce knowledge and skills that set you apart in a competitive job market, while also providing a pathway to future research or learning.

Accounting

This major is designed to prepare you for membership with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and CPA Australia.

Courses cover advanced topics, including financial reporting and strategy, business analysis, environment and methodology of auditing, costing systems and cost management, commercial law and taxation law.

Graduates typically find careers as accountants or advisers in accounting firms, public and private corporations, management and consulting firms, small businesses, banks and other financial institutions, government departments and not-for-profit organisations.

English Language Scores: IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 AND a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening; TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19; TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading; PTE: Overall score of 64 with 60 in each communicative skills section; CAE/CPE: Overall Cambridge English Scale (CES) score of 176 with a minimum score of 169 in each skill; BE: A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all four macro skills.
