Science at Western

There is more to healthy eating than you realise. This program will help you understand nutrition and the science behind food. You will develop a strong foundation in the biological and chemical sciences needed to underpin your studies with majors in Human Nutrition or Food Science and Technology that allows further specialisation.

Students must have Australian Year 12 Higher School Certificate in or outside Australia; International Baccalaureate in Australia; New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA), Level 3. English language requirements: IELTS (Academic version): 6.5 overall score, minimum 6.0 in each subtest; TOEFL internet-based score: Total score 82, Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13; Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): 58 overall; No communication skills less than 50; Successful completion of three years (Gao San) with a minimum score for entry to Second Tier universities in China from the National Entrance Examination (Gao Kao) cut off thresholds for Science and the relevant province, or successful completion of the first year of a Bachelor’s degree at a recognized university.
