The first of its kind in Canada, Laurier's Languages program provides the opportunity to develop a thorough knowledge and application of two languages: French and Spanish.

You'll be a multilingual graduate by also obtaining basic knowledge of a third language (Arabic, German or Italian).

Program Highlights

You’ll acquire solid knowledge of French and Spanish and working knowledge of a third language.

We have minors available in Arabic Studies, German and Italian.

You can study linguistics as part of this program and experience hands-on research.

Students must have completed an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent qualification. English language requirement: Internet-based testing (TOEFL iBT): an overall score of 83 or higher with a minimum score of 20 in each component; Paper-based testing: 560 overall, IELTS: An academic score of 6.5 or higher with a minimum of 6.0 in each band, PTE: 59 overall or higher, CAE: Overall score of 176. In acknowledgement of the various grading scales used throughout China, the grading scale on the transcript will be used. Grades are converted to reflect a 50% pass.
