User experience (UX) designers seek to create something new for the world by combining creativity, strategic design thinking, user research and social awareness.

In order to succeed as a UX designer, you need to have the intellectual tools to think critically about the world and understand how cultural, societal, economic, political and environmental factors contribute to users’ experiences.

Students must have completed an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent qualification. English language requirement: Internet-based testing (TOEFL iBT): an overall score of 83 or higher with a minimum score of 20 in each component; Paper-based testing: 560 overall, IELTS: An academic score of 6.5 or higher with a minimum of 6.0 in each band, PTE: 59 overall or higher, CAE: Overall score of 176. In acknowledgement of the various grading scales used throughout China, the grading scale on the transcript will be used. Grades are converted to reflect a 50% pass.
