Our Chemistry and Physics program explores the chemical and physical properties of materials with a focus on unique properties at the nanoscale.

You'll graduate with a Bachelor of Science and a solid theoretical foundation in chemistry and physics through both classroom lectures and laboratory experiments.

Program Highlights

This program is experiential with experimental and computational labs in Chemistry and Physics.

Upper-year classes are small and there are opportunities to conduct research under faculty supervision in either Chemistry or Physics.

Our students are eligible for Summer Research Awards from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.

Understanding the properties of materials from both a Chemistry and Physics viewpoint provides you with a unique perspective.

Students must have completed an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent qualification. English language requirement: Internet-based testing (TOEFL iBT): an overall score of 83 or higher with a minimum score of 20 in each component; Paper-based testing: 560 overall, IELTS: An academic score of 6.5 or higher with a minimum of 6.0 in each band, PTE: 59 overall or higher, CAE: Overall score of 176. In acknowledgement of the various grading scales used throughout China, the grading scale on the transcript will be used. Grades are converted to reflect a 50% pass.
