留學(xué)大潮洶涌襲來(lái)，很多同學(xué)都有留學(xué)的打算，但是在留學(xué)之前，大家糾結(jié)最多的問(wèn)題就是如何選擇適合自己的留學(xué)目的國(guó)。10月25日US News刊登了一篇名為”Where in the World Chinese Students are Studying”（《中國(guó)學(xué)生都在世界的什么地方留學(xué)》）的文章。留學(xué)監(jiān)理網(wǎng)的老師特意為大家進(jìn)行了翻譯，希望大家從中得到一些借鑒和參考。

-The United States is by far the most popular destination, followed by Australia and Japan./目前美國(guó)是中國(guó)學(xué)生最青睞的留學(xué)目的國(guó)，緊隨其后的是澳大利亞和日本。

(China has more than four times the number of students studying abroad than any other country. 在國(guó)外留學(xué)的中國(guó)學(xué)生總數(shù)是其他國(guó)家留學(xué)生總數(shù)的四倍！)

Fannie Fu says she had always lived at home until she made the decision to move the roughly 7,600 miles from Fujian province in southeast China to attend Pennsylvania State University in the United States. From kindergarten through high school, she says, school was so close to home that she would return home to eat lunch most days.

Fannie Fu（以下簡(jiǎn)稱小付）在下決心從福建老家坐飛機(jī)跨越7600英里來(lái)美國(guó)的賓夕法尼亞州立大學(xué)讀書之前，一直都住在家里。從幼兒園到高中，家與學(xué)校之間的距離非常近，近得在大部分日子里可以回家吃午飯。

But for Fu, coming to the U.S. for college was not a hard decision. "In China, we value the U.S. school system a lot," she said. "It was the right time for me to explore differences in the world."

而對(duì)小付來(lái)說(shuō)，來(lái)美國(guó)上大學(xué)并不是一個(gè)艱難的決定。她說(shuō)：“在中國(guó)，人們對(duì)美國(guó)的教育體系評(píng)價(jià)非常高。同時(shí)，當(dāng)時(shí)也到了我離開家去探索世界的多元性的時(shí)間了”。

Fu's move from to pursue her studies is part of a larger global trend. Analysis by the Institute of International Education's Project Atlas shows that most international students come from Asia and head to North America and Western Europe.

小付出國(guó)求學(xué)的舉動(dòng)正是全球化的一部分。根據(jù)位于紐約的國(guó)際教育研究院的分析，大部分的國(guó)際學(xué)生來(lái)自于亞洲，他們熱衷的留學(xué)目的地是北美和西歐。

The number of higher education students enrolling in international programs has been steadily rising for decades. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development projects there will be 8 million international students in 2025, nearly double the 4.5 million there were in 2012.

世界范圍內(nèi)的注冊(cè)高等教育的國(guó)際學(xué)生數(shù)量在近十年中平穩(wěn)增長(zhǎng)。經(jīng)濟(jì)合作與發(fā)展組織預(yù)計(jì)2025年會(huì)有800萬(wàn)國(guó)際學(xué)生，幾乎比2012年的450萬(wàn)的數(shù)字翻了一倍。

In China, record high numbers of students are leaving home to hit the books abroad, according to a report from that country's Ministry of Education. There were more than 700,000 students from China scattered around the world in 2014, according to the UNESCO Institute for Statistics, nearly four times more than any other country.

根據(jù)中國(guó)教育部的統(tǒng)計(jì)數(shù)據(jù)，出國(guó)留學(xué)的學(xué)生數(shù)量達(dá)到新高。根據(jù)聯(lián)合國(guó)教科文組織2014年的統(tǒng)計(jì)，由中國(guó)輸出的國(guó)際學(xué)生總數(shù)有70萬(wàn)之多，幾乎是其他所有國(guó)家總和的4倍。

The International Consultants for Education and Fairs and other education-focused organizations have theorized that Chinese students have a "dramatic impact on the global marketplace for education" and drive global trends in student mobility abroad.

很多國(guó)際教育專家以及教育領(lǐng)域的機(jī)構(gòu)認(rèn)為中國(guó)學(xué)生對(duì)于全球教育市場(chǎng)有極大的影響力，并推動(dòng)了學(xué)生在世界各地的流動(dòng)。

More than a third of Chinese students abroad – about a quarter of a million – were in the U.S., likely in search of a degree from the country with the most highly regarded colleges and universities.

在全部中國(guó)留學(xué)生總數(shù)三分之一的學(xué)生（近25萬(wàn)人）選擇在美國(guó)讀書，并希望可以進(jìn)入美國(guó)最頂級(jí)的院校攻讀學(xué)位。

But international students aren't staying away forever. While more than 500,000 students left China in 2015, more than 400,000 returned home in the same year, according to the Chinese Ministry of Education.

但是，留學(xué)生并不會(huì)一直留在留學(xué)國(guó)。根據(jù)中國(guó)教育部的統(tǒng)計(jì)數(shù)據(jù)，在2015年的時(shí)候，有五十萬(wàn)中國(guó)學(xué)子離開祖國(guó)到海外求學(xué)，同一年有四十萬(wàn)人學(xué)成歸國(guó)。

For Fu, a junior accounting major, the decision to move back to China or stay in the U.S. depends on where she finds the best opportunities. She is currently looking for internships and may decide to go on to graduate school.

小付已經(jīng)是一個(gè)會(huì)計(jì)學(xué)專業(yè)的大三學(xué)生了，她覺得回到中國(guó)或留在美國(guó)主要取決于哪里可以找到最好的工作機(jī)會(huì)。她現(xiàn)在正在尋找實(shí)習(xí)的機(jī)會(huì)并可能繼續(xù)留在美國(guó)攻讀碩士學(xué)位。

In the meantime, Fu says she is enjoying the “more open style education” that U.S. universities provide, one that leaves time to break from studies to join clubs and even found one – the Global China Connection Penn State Chapter – of her own.

與此同時(shí)，小付也說(shuō)她很喜歡美國(guó)這種比較開放的教育方式。大家都把自己的時(shí)間分成幾塊，既要兼顧學(xué)習(xí)，也要參與各種社團(tuán)活動(dòng)，甚至是建立自己的社團(tuán)。

Here are the 10 countries that welcome the most international students from China, according to the UNESCO Institute for Statistics. Another 36,000 students from China head to Hong Kong and Macau, as well.
