Some people think that sending criminals to prison is an effective way to deal with them. Others think that education and training are better solutions. DG. 

第三：科技類 

1.Mobile phones and the Internet are very useful. However, it is rare for the old people to use them. In what ways can mobile phones and the internet be useful to the old people? What could be done to encourage the old people to use mobile phones and the internet?

2.Working at home with computers is positive or negative？ 

3.Maintaining public libraries is a waste of money since computer technology can replace their functions. o what e tent do you agree or disagree? 

4. Early technological developments helped people more than recent technological developments. To what extent do you agree or disagree? 

5.Nowadays the way people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this been a positive or negative development?

第四：社會(huì)發(fā)展類 

1.In some countries, the proportion of elderly people will become higher than the proportion of younger people. Will this be a positive or a negative development?

2.As country develops, a large population chooses to live individually or live in a small family unit. Discuss the causes and its effects on society. 

第五：工作類        

1.Nowadays, it is widely accepted that social skills are as important as good qualifications for success in a job. Do you agree or disagree?

2.Some people say job satisfaction is more important than job security, while others believe that having a permanent job is better than enjoying the job. DG. 

第六：環(huán)境類

1.It is important to preserve both the culture and environment of the places you visit, but some people think it is impossible to be a responsible tourist. Do you agree or disagree? 

2.Damage to environment is an inevitable consequence of the improvement in the standard of living. To what degree do you agree or disagree to this position?(比如頻繁購(gòu)買東西) 

第七：政府類 

1.Governments are encouraging industries and businesses to move from large cities to regional areas. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

2.Some people think that governments should ban dangerous sports. Others, however, believe that people should have the freedom of choosing sporting activities they like. Discuss both views and give your opinion. 

第八：老幼類 

Some people think that younger people are not suitable for important positions in government. Others think that it will be a good idea for younger people to take on these positions. DG. 

第九：男女類

1.Men and women employed in full-time jobs have to share evenly household chores and caring for children at home. Do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your knowledge or experience. 

2.Throughout history, male leaders always lead us to violence and conflict. If a society is governed by female leaders, it will be more peaceful. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

When we travel to foreign countries, we tend to see the same things as we see in our home countries. What are the causes of this phenomenon and do you think this is positive or negative?

Ambition is being emphasized in today’s society. How important do you think it is for those who want to succeed in their life? Is it a positive or negative characteristic?
